Mission Preparation Holiday Feet!

In a week's time I shall be in sunny Spain; sunbathing, drinking cocktails and swanning around in flip-flops and sandals! I probably don't need to state how excited I am, but I will anyway... I cannot wait!! It is my first all-inclusive holiday too, which will be a learning curve, I dare say!

Of course I have been engaging in the usual sorts of holiday preparation; partaking in exercise to lose a stone (stone's still there), writing (lengthy) lists of essentials, and buying new holiday clothes (approximately 75% of which probably won't get worn).

However I was lucky enough to receive this fantastic wee piece of technology, which has been really helpful in getting my feet ready for being on display in holiday sandals! Surely I am not the only person who notices other people's feet when they're dangling off the end of a sun lounger... I can't help but notice how bad condition some are! The stuff of nightmares! With that in mind, my feet are getting some extra attention...

The Emjoi Micro-Pedi* is basically a great tool for treating yourself to a home pedicure. It removes hard, dry and rough skin really easily and effectively. I know that feet aren't a topic most people like to discuss or read about, but we all have feet and they need taken care of, too! I won't frighten you with any foot photos, don't worry!

I've been using the handheld device after the shower on the areas of my feet that are most prone to hard skin, which for me is the heel and ball of the foot, which are subjected to the most pressure when walking (especially in heels!). I am of a ticklish disposition, and while it is a slightly tickly sensation, it isn't unbearable.

The Micro Pedi takes 2 AA batteries, and then you just switch it on and that's it! This works really fast to remove dry or hard skin and leaves feet looking and feeling so much better! The results are obvious straight away. Immediately afterwards I use a foot cream to moisturise my feet and it really does feel brilliant to have treated my feet, as odd as that sounds!

There is an extra roller included too, for when you need a less coarse pedi, and it is so simple to change the rollers. There is also a little brush for cleaning afterwards (it can be messy, bear in mind!) and a cover for the roller part to keep it protected. If you were going on a long holiday you could easily take this with you to maintain your fabulous feet! You can buy the Micro-Pedi in Boots, where it is currently £39.99, or directly from It isn't the cheapest foot gadget, but if you are wary of having someone else give you a pedicure, or just prefer DIY home pampering, you will save a lot of money in the long run!

Now al I need is to paint my toenails neon pink and I am flip-flop ready...

Sunday Night Make Up Shake Up #44

Would you believe that this Sunday I was SO well prepared and had my make up shake up photos all ready to go... and then didn't take my memory card with me to my boyfriend's house. Durrr, well done Lauren! Now look where we are, posting it on Tuesday, again!

MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Moisturising Facebase - I have been using this as a moisturiser and primer this week, by using it in the morning instead of my usual day cream, and I am really enjoying it. This is almost finished which is quite sad, as I love it. I can get away with using this instead of my moisturiser as my skin is oily, but drier skins might need both!

Skin79 Super+ BB Cream - Every time I use this I remember how much I like it! It has good coverage and matches my skin really well. A nice change from foundation.

NYC Blushable Crème Stick Big Apple Blush* - I don't need to repeat myself about how lovely this is, do I?! <3 p="p">
Sleek Blush By 3 Palette Lace - I always forget the blush palettes when choosing my blush for the week, perhaps I should re-jig my make up organisation! This sits with my eye palettes so I forget it exists!

MAC Paint Pot Painterly - I often neglect this Paint Pot as, although it's a brilliant primer, I always seem to think it's too much fuss in the mornings. Realistically, it's a few extra moments of fuss, so I have no reason to let it go unloved.

NARS Eyeshadow Duo Portobello - These matte brown shades are lovely, and definitely some of the best matte eyeshadows I have tried. My one annoyance is that - on my eyes, at least - the two colours are basically identical! Apart from that, this duo would be great for travelling if you're not in to colourful or dramatic eye shadows.

No 7 Eyeshadow Duo - This little duo was part of a gift set I got at Christmas. The top neutral pinky-beige shade is a lovely colour for all over the eyelid and as a highlight.

Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara* - I have decided that I really need to use this a lot more for work/normal day-to-day make up, as it is quite nice and is more expensive than my other mascaras! It doesn't add any extra length or volume to the lashes so perhaps not great for evening make up looks.

I haven't pictured any lip products as I will probably just keep it simple and stick with my Revlon Lip Butter in Crème Brulée for a hint of natural colour. Have a good week everybody!

Sunday Night Make Up Shake Up #43

Yet another belated make up shake up from me! Where does the time go? Again, I missed the decent lighting for this and so have played around with the colour and exposure of the photos for a change; no colour accuracy today I'm afraid!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC15 - I basically need to use this up; I rarely use it any more. I have been neglecting it so long that using it again has made me realise how pale I actually am! This lightest shade is still too dark on me, however this is proving to have decent staying power on my very oily skin.

Avon Ideal Flawless Foundation Light Pink - This foundation is the best colour match to my natural skin coour that I think I have ever had! The only thing I don't like about it is how much it slides around my face. Maybe if I use this to mix with the MAC SFF to pale it down a bit, I will find a happy medium?

Natural Collection Cream Blush Apricot - I got another two of the Natural Collection cream blushes finally! To be honest, the shades aren't a million miles apart, but this is a lovely natural peachy shade, perfect for every day wear.

Benefit Posie Tint - In case I need a pink toned blush!

Illamasqua Powder Blush Lover - I really love this blush. More than someone should love an inanimate object, but sure... A gorgeous peachy coral shade that adds a lovely natural, warm flush.

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette - I started the week by being very adventurous and doing a dark purple smokey eye using Half Truth, which was most unlike me for work on a Monday! This palette is good for natural but shimmery looks and more colourful ones too. Feels good to be getting use out of it!

Urban Decay Lush Lash Mascara - I am all UD on the eyes this week! This is a nice everyday mascara; it doesn't add much length or volume but I don't really mind for work etc.

Miners Fashion Matte Lipsticks Coral & Starlet - I KNOW! Bright lips this week too, I don't know what's came over me! Perhaps I need a cool flannel and a lie down... I must say though, bright lips really demand self-confidence to wear them all day! I also felt very Zoella when I wore the coral, which is a very orange shade!

BarryM Lip Liner 2 Dark Pink - This lip liner goes wonderfully with the Starlet lipstick, and helps it last a lot longer.

Have you been adventurous with your make up this week? Perhaps there's something going around!

OOTD: Floral Jeans

These jeans were yet another step out of my comfort zone, and to be completely honest, I surprised myself when I bought them! I was wandering around DV8, in hope of buying something to wear on a work night out, when I spied these. Not my usual style at all, but I thought I might as well try them on for the craic. Five minutes later, I was paying £34.99 for them. Converted!

T-Shirt - H&M
Jeans - DV8
Pumps - George @ Asda
I wore them with a plain black vest top and black heels for the night out, and the above is how I tend to wear them on a daily basis for work etc.; dressed down with plain tops and pumps. These are now on sale here (typical) if anyone is interested. Rage!

Sunday Night Make Up Shake Up #42

I missed the good light today for taking my photos, gutted! Ah typical!

Urban Decay Complexion Brightening Primer Potion* - I haven't used this in a while, and I am trying to determine which primer is most helpful with my troublesome t-zone...

MAC Face & Body Foundation C1 - Another product I haven't used in a while! I am really not sold on this as I find it moves about my face a lot, but I don't want it to go to waste!

Natural Collection Cream Blush Rosy Pink - I have said it once and I'll say it again - £1.99 extremely well spent. If you don't know where to start with cream blush, definitely try these!

MeMeMe Beat The Blues Highlighter Moonbeam - I really like this highlighter, it gives a lovely subtle glow to the skin. Some may argue that it isn't as good as the Benefit Highbeam, and they may be right, but it's almost a quarter of the price, soooo...

Milani Baked Blush Rose D'oro - I really love this blush, and envy people with access to Milani products!

Z Palette - You can see that my palette is pretty much full now after doing some serious depotting yesterday! I am mainly going to use.... actually, I can't pick!! I'll just use whatever I have time to use in the mornings!

NYC Sky Rise Mascara** - I really like this as an everyday mascara, it adds a bit of length, doesn't clump or flake, and it is so affordable!

Lip Smacker Cherry Coca-Cola - Now this I haven't used in a seriously long time!! As I said last week, I just don't really just lipstick and gloss in work much, but this is a yummy lip balm with a little hint of colour, so perhaps it is the best option.

Have a great week folks!

*Received in a goody bag from Urban Decay Masterclass that I paid to attend.

OOTD: Very Blue Jeans

I haven't been too keen to jump on the coloured jeans trend. I love looking at the gorgeous pastel jeans in the shops and all over blogs, but I have a real fear of wearing them myself, as I just don't think I can pull off really adventurous clothing. Basically, I have a paranoia about looking a Damn Fool.

These cobalt blue skinnies were my first foray in to colourful jeans, and I actually really like them in real life, but in these photos I hate them!! I think in the photos they make my thighs look huge, and now I am wondering if they always look like that! Oh dear. I am not so sure about them any more! At least they were a bargain. I have worn them to work a lot, mainly paired with black or nude shades. They are surprisingly comfortable too.

Top - Noname
Jeans - Asda
Sandals - Primark
I have another slightly more adventurous pair of jeans to show you too, but I'll save that for another day! Do you like colourful jeans? What other colours do you style them with?
