Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

Don't let the title fool you; magic, 'tis not! Nor does it remove nail polish in one second flat. However, with those two claims debunked, please allow me to assure you that this still a decent product!

Basically, this nail polish remover is a sponge with a hole in it, soaked in nail polish remover and housed in a plastic tub. Remove the lid, put your nail in the sponge, and twist until the nail polish is removed. It probably takes more like 5 seconds per nail, as opposed to 1, but I still find this so handy.

I bought this at the airport as I was heading on holiday, and it was so easy to use and great to have on holiday. There's no faffing about with cotton pads and I think it smells (a bit) nicer than standard nail polish removers. It can be a bit tricky to remove polish from the very edges of the nails, however I find that a few more twists, while really pushing the nail in to the side of the sponge does the trick.

It will be hard to know if and when this is about to run out, which could be annoying, but for £4.99 I will definitely continue to buy this; it is a lazy nail polish lover's best friend!

Have you tried this nail polish remover yet? Do you find it as handy as I do? Or a lot of fuss over nothing?

Autumn Polish, Nailed

I recently received some gorgeous autumnal nail polishes by NYC* and I have been loving these colours! August ended and we seem to have jumped straight in to Winter, and these shades couldn't be more appropriate.

Red,  plum and berry shades are timeless for Autumn and Winter, and the sparkly black glitter is great for an accent nail or all-out bling, perhaps for a night out. These are so affordable, with the Expert Last polishes retailing at £2.49 and the New York Minute polishes only £1.79!

These photos have even put me in the mood to paint my nails with one of these right now... I'm thinking Boundless Berry with a Rock Muse accent nail!

Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 Palette - 'Pink Spirit'

A while ago I blogged about the gorgeous Lace Blush By 3 palette from Sleek Makeup, and its beauty was met with lots of positive comments! I have since purchased a second Blush By 3 palette, this time in Pink Spirit.

As the name blatantly states suggests, it consists of three shades of pink, one bright fuchsia and two deeper berry/plum tones...

The shades are all beautiful, and very wearable despite how vivid they are in the pan. A light hand with these blushes is the key to a pretty pink flush of colour, in order to avoid the 'scarlet fever' flush that might otherwise be achieved.

The product is velvety soft and blends nicely, though I did find Pink Parfait the most tricky to work with. I think that this palette really could be that bit more impressive with a shimmery blush among the mattes, however, realistically speaking, a shimmery pink blush might not be theeee most wearable shade!

As before, these blush trios are £9.99 each, for 20g of product. This means each blush is around 6.5g, slightly less than the Sleek single pan blushes, which are 8g each. However, the single blushes are £4.50 each so the palettes are more economical for your money.

I think these Blush By 3 palettes are very handy to have, especially for taking on holidays or on any travels. They are also handy for MUAs as you're not carrying around lots of single blushes!

Have you got any of the Sleek Blush By 3 palettes? I will definitely get more!

Videos Galore!

Hello hello, long time no blog!

Life has been hectic recently for me, and is about to get even more so as I am moving house soon! YAY! However, busy and exciting as it all is, I am trying to get back to blogging routinely again. It is great to have a breather every once in a while and then come back to the blog keen as mustard.

In the meantime, I have been quite good at uploading videos to my YouTube channel, so I shall link some in this post in case you are interested. If you would like to subscribe to my channel you can do so here, which would be very nice of you :)
